I would stare at my computer for hours on end with nothing to show for it (and by staring at my computer, I mean compulsively checking Facebook™ for signs of human life – are you out there?! Anyone?!)

And truthfully, I started to freak out a little… Have I lost my creative edge?

Am I finally crumbling under the pressure of keeping up with a job AND running my businesses?

Or maybe (gasp!) I’m truly not cut out for entrepreneur life after all?!

But at that time, I had no idea that the reason for this feeling of utter powerlessness over my to-do list was directly related to one crucial “X” factor that I had grossly underestimated during my days in the office…

Your day-to-day starts to get pretty mundane, uninspiring… then - poof! – all of a sudden, your motivation has disappeared, and you’re questioning (literally) everything.

After years of feeling frustrated with missing my own deadlines and the constant (unproductive) rollercoaster of building an empire from home in my PJs, something finally clicked…

What I realized was that I missed the camaraderie and sense of teamwork that I had taken for granted in the office. I missed the spontaneous brainstorming sessions and the incredible spark of energy I felt when I knew I was on the edge of my next big idea, and the excitement in my colleagues’ faces as they felt it too.

This discovery was nothing less than life-changing, as I now saw clearly the “dark side” of working from home and how it can have a REAL impact on your business growth goals.
